HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Mission Critical projects in Lubbock, TX. The role offers exposure to budget, schedule, and owner reporting within a leading national contractor.

The APM will coordinate information, support project teams, and drive adherence to safety and quality standards across the life of the project. Growth, mentoring, and advancement are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred
• 2–5 years' experience in commercial construction
• Experience with commercial general contractors preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, with strong writing and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards
• Ensure documentation is filed and organized
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages
• Assist in leading project meetings, milestones, and owner reporting
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) including approvals and change orders
• Update project schedules and ensure quality control and logistics
• Assist in project closeout activities
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team
