Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to support a mission-critical DOE program. The role requires building and securing cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and working across engineering teams in a fast-paced, secure federal environment.

The ideal candidate will implement IaC, manage containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and DOE requirements. Active clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure or 3+ years in cloud engineering with related degree
• Experience designing and administering cloud environments in AWS/Azure/GCP
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar languages

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure across environments
• Develop IaC solutions and automated deployment pipelines
• Implement cloud security controls and Zero Trust principles
• Collaborate with engineers and government stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions
