Job summary

Peraton is seeking a cleared, highly skilled Cloud Engineer to support a mission-critical DOE program. The role designs, implements, secures, automates, and maintains cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP, focusing on modernization and compliance.

You will work with IAM, networking, containerization, and IaC, using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines. A DOE security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise IT with 3+ years cloud engineering/operations or 16 years with HS diploma.
• Experience designing and administering cloud environments in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep).
• Scripting/automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Develop IaC solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM/Bicep.
• Automate provisioning, deployments, and workflows with CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and manage Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security.
• Support IAM, encryption, logging, and auditing.
• Collaborate with developers, cybersecurity engineers, and government stakeholders.
