Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Command & Control Systems Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to lead an experienced cloud infrastructure team, modernizing DoD C2 platforms from data centers to the tactical edge.

You will design, deploy, and harden containerized foundations using Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD/Flux within a DevOps framework, ensuring secure, resilient mission-critical systems for warfighters.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering with production systems leadership.
• Experience operating Kubernetes at production scale including cluster deployment, day-2 ops, upgrades, and security hardening.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience implementing observability stack such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience designing and deploying systems in secure, air-gapped, or DDIL environments.
• Ability to translate mission and reliability requirements into resilient, automated platform designs.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technology field, or 6+ years of DoD C2 platform design/deploy in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Security+ CE certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead production infrastructure teams to design, deploy, and harden containerized foundations beneath C2 systems.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to implement GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD/Flux pipelines.
• Design, deploy, and secure infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible in DoD environments.
• Build observability stacks with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenTelemetry for mission-critical reliability.
• Ensure systems meet DoD security standards and can operate in air-gapped or DDIL environments.
