Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher responsible for coordinating fleet operations and driver schedules under a US Army EAGLE contract. You will plan routes, monitor on-time performance, and communicate with drivers to ensure mission readiness.

This role emphasizes organization, problem solving, and compliance with GCOR/ABTH guidelines. You will work on-site at Fort Sill-related operations, support dispatch activities, and maintain driver qualification files

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of fleet coordination or dispatch experience.
• Knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance, and safety regulations.
• Ability to pass drug test and background screening.
• CAC and REAL ID driver’s license requirements.
• TIER-1 investigation clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fleet operations with the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP).
• Schedule drivers and plan routes to ensure timely deliveries or transports.
• Maintain communications with drivers and update dispatches as needed.
• Track on-time performance and implement corrective actions.
• Support safety inspections and regulatory compliance per DoD/DoT rules.
• Maintain driver qualification files and required forms per policy.
