Job summary

Catholic Leadership Institute is seeking a Mission Catalyst to cultivate donor relationships, manage major gift activity, and help advance fundraising objectives across the Eastern Midwest with regional travel.

You will work with volunteers and staff to identify prospects, research wealth indicators, and close gifts while upholding faith-based principles. This role requires strategic vision, persistence, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum seven years of professional development experience in philanthropy.
• Experience in closing major gifts of $25,000+.
• Proficient in Raiser's Edge (or comparable CRM), with demonstrated skill in prospect research, wealth screening, and writing proposals and gift agreements

Responsibilities

• Donor & Prospects: identify, cultivate, and steward donors with capacity for large gifts; manage a 100–125 donor portfolio.
• Donor Communication: prepare, deliver, and follow up on proposals and gift opportunities for major prospects.
• Strategy: plan and track revenue, cash, and involvement metrics with the Mission Advancement Team.
