Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Designer to shape unified command and control experiences for hundreds of autonomous vehicles across air, land, and sea. You’ll collaborate with engineers, PMs, and customers to craft operator-focused interfaces and scalable workflows.

You will conduct on-site user research with soldiers, translate insights into high-fidelity prototypes, and push design systems to support domain-specific needs in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in product design, UX or HCI with a track record of high craft.
• Autonomy to drive feature- and system-level design in ambiguous contexts.
• Expertise in visual and interaction design for complex technical workflows.
• Ability to map user journeys across multiple contexts and users.
• Strong prototyping skills to inform decisions and iterations.
• Ability to articulate the rationale behind design choices across teams.
• Eligible for U.S. TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across design and engineering to shape experiences from discovery to delivery.
• Spend time on-site with operators to build deep user empathy and test hypotheses.
• Create compelling narratives, journey maps, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Turn complex software into clear interfaces that operators can learn quickly.
• Define delivery timelines with product and engineering; prioritize critical functionality.
• Extend the design system for domain-specific needs and promote reuse.
• Contribute to the design team through critiques, mentoring, and best practices.
