Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL seeks a senior Functional Homeroom Quality Engineering Manager for TACAMO QE/QA and program quality leadership. You will translate needs into quality objectives, plan resources, mentor staff, and present data-driven briefings to senior leadership on risks and performance.

Responsibilities include leading RCCA efforts with Lean/Six Sigma, driving process improvements to reduce defects, and championing mission assurance transformations while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• STEM degree with experience in Aircraft/Aerospace or Manufacturing Quality.
• 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience.
• Experience with Engineering, Manufacturing, Change Management and Program Integration.
• Quality Assurance leadership with AS9100 enforcement.
• Fluent in process improvement (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, RCAs).
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain TS/ SAP access.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Functional Homeroom Quality Engineering Manager for the TACAMO QE/QA team and as program quality lead.
• Translate program needs into quality objectives, resource plans, and actions.
• Lead professional development: growth plans, training, mentoring, and coaching.
• Plan resources to align staffing with program demands.
• Create an inclusive, high-performance work environment and drive collaboration.
• Prepare data-driven briefings to senior leadership on quality issues and risks.
• Drive RCCA using fishbone, fault tree, 5-Why, and lean/Six Sigma methods.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements to reduce defects and improve quality.
• Champion mission assurance transformation initiatives and drive new processes/tools.
• Ensure QA/Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering align with AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
