Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Mission Assurance Director 1 to lead quality across major lifecycle stages. This role oversees MA personnel across CONUS sites, chairs PCAB and reviews with customers, and develops controls to enable confident process execution.

You will interact with customers and leadership, drive strategic thinking in a demanding environment, and uphold the highest ethical standards while building an inclusive, high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years related experience or Master’s with 8+ years.
• Background in aircraft, aerospace, manufacturing, quality, program management, or related functions.
• 3 years of leadership or team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Program Quality Management System and ensure adherence to policies and contractual requirements.
• Maintain program quality plans and relationships with customers and quality representatives.
• Provide oversight for Mission Assurance budgets within the program.
• Develop and approve Mission Assurance input for proposals.
• Staff Mission Assurance personnel assigned to the Strike program.
• Interface with Mission Assurance homerooms to allocate resources.
• Define and monitor mission assurance specifications and processes.
• Assess program performance and risks and report metrics.
• Lead key program meetings such as PCAB and executive reviews.
• Communicate requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with DCMA and AS9100 standards.
