Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Clearfield, UT is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 1 to lead a team of quality engineers, ensure compliance with our Quality Management System, and interface with program managers, operations, engineering, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes formal/informal reviews, FAI processes, data analytics, corrective actions, and maintaining part traceability throughout the life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years related experience in mission/quality assurance or related fields.
• Quality/Mission Assurance knowledge and process understanding.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily supervision and direction to Quality Engineering staff.
• Interfacing with program managers, operations, engineering, customers and suppliers to meet requirements.
• Manages a team of quality engineers across inspection plans and lean programs.
• Maintains quality and part traceability throughout the product life cycle.
• Conducts reviews and oversees the First Article Inspection process (AS9103).
• Investigates problems and dispositions non-conforming hardware.
