Job summary

SHR Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator to operate and maintain the Mission Applications portfolio for DISA HAC. The role covers web and application servers, backups, failover, and security compliance in a Pentagon/NCR setting.

On-site Arlington duties with after-hours support and a strong DoD security posture are expected. Candidates must have DoD 8570 IAT II certification and relevant system administration experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on systems administration supporting production web and application servers (IIS and/or Apache).
• Windows Server 2012+ or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0+ depending on environment.
• Experience with backup, restore, replication, and failover configuration.
• Experience applying DISA STIGs and remediating IAVA findings.
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
• Experience in ITSM ticketing processes for incidents and changes.
• Ability to document configurations, diagrams, and change plans clearly.
• DoD or large enterprise DoD-like IT environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations, maintenance, and support for web and app servers.
• Install, configure, and maintain application services and third-party software.
• Configure backups, test restore procedures, and test failover.
• Manage replication, synchronization, and failover of applications.
• Maintain COOP readiness and support Mission Essential Systems.
• Monitor OS, database, network, and storage using HAC tools.
• Diagnose incidents and implement workarounds as needed.
• Coordinate service interruptions and provide after-hours support.
• Create and manage system accounts, permissions, and documentation.
