Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO, seeks a Mission Analysis Lead to advance the Design Reference Mission, own the Databook, and maintain performance measures with regular Chief Engineer updates. You will coordinate mission analyses supporting design, verification, and launch licensing, while overseeing trajectory and thermal analyses, EMI/EMC, survivability, and breakup dynamics.

The role requires leadership in specialty engineering activities and participation in design trade studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Astrodynamics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 8years of professional experience in missile/rocket trajectory analysis, flight dynamics, or flight‑science roles; at least 3years in a lead or technical‑authority position.
• Proven expertise with ballistic, guided‑missile, or re‑entry vehicle flight‑dynamics modeling; familiarity with missile‑type propulsion and aerodynamic data.
• Demonstrated use of trajectory‑analysis software, thermal analysis software or other mission analysis software
• Active and Current Secret clearance is required. Thus US Citizenship is required

Standard Job Description :-

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

• Advanced Modeling & Simulation – Experience with high-fidelity Monte-Carlo trajectory propagation, familiarity with comprehensive thermal analysis
• Telemetry Integration Understanding - Understanding of ground station coverage and link margins during mission execution
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
