Lockheed Martin is seeking a Missile Material Handler Senior to work at our Kings Bay facility. You will receive, store, issue, ship, and control hazardous and non-hazardous materials and flight hardware for the FBM program, ensuring compliance with federal and military regulations.
You will certify shipments, perform inventory and data-entry tasks, and provide guidance to teammates while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Perform all the duties required to receive, process, store, issue, ship, and control hazardous and non-hazardous materials and equipment flowing through the LM SWF Warehouses, the Small Ordnance Magazines (SOMs), and designated Missile Motor Magazines (MMMs). Certify shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, flight hardware, and support equipment for off‑base destinations.
Perform all the duties required to receive, process, store, issue, ship, and control hazardous and non-hazardous materials and equipment flowing through the LM SWF Warehouses, the Small Ordnance Magazines (SOMs), and designated Missile Motor Magazines (MMMs). Certify shipments of hazardous materials, flight hardware, and support equipment for off‑base destinations, including shipments of explosive ordnance, complying in strict detail to applicable federal, military and state regulations governing packaging and transportation of such items.
Receive, ship, store, package, issue, and control hazardous and non-hazardous materials associated with the supported FBM program.
Prepare reusable Packaging Data Sheet (PDS) containers for use or shipment. Perform functional adequacy inspections.
Pickup and deliver materials as required and package items for shipment, storage or transfer.
Stock, kit and issue material and process‑controlled inventory receipts, issues and associated paperwork in accordance with established procedures.
Perform material location maintenance, scheduled inventories, and location changes as necessary.
Package and unpackage major missile segments, such as Equipment Sections, Nose Fairings, and Interstage Assemblies and perform other (or associated) handling, as necessary.
Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced employees in the performance of duties described.
Perform routine warehouse functions such as checking nomenclature, quantity and other descriptive information for accuracy and agreement with related paperwork. Stamp, mark, count, sort, shelve and stock items in accordance with procedures.
Ability to perform duties in support of the Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) as necessary.
Perform review and closure of data systems updates for stocking, kitting and issuing material and process‑controlled inventory receipts, issues and associated paperwork in accordance with established procedures.
Ability to read documents and research necessary information in applicable federal manuals and Company documents.
