Job summary

Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, PA is seeking a Material Handler Specialist in Receiving to ensure timely receipt and availability of materials for programs. You will work with internal program customers in a dynamic, team environment.

Duties include loading/unloading, forklift operation, opening containers, recording in SAP, researching NRIs, and coordinating with engineers, material planners, and buyers. Some tasks may include inventory management and shipping for growth.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related receiving, warehouse, or inventory management experience.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50-75 lbs).
• Valid U.S. driver's license; U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD clearance.
• Forklift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload materials from trucks and move them onto/off pallets, trays, and racks.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other devices to convey materials.
• Open containers, count/weigh materials, inspect for damage, and verify counts.
• Record receipts in SAP; research and reconcile NRIs.
• Collaborate with engineers, material planners, and buyers on receipts status and discrepancies.
• Possibly perform inventory management/shipping tasks and cross-train for growth.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler Specialist in our Receiving Department at our Building 100 King of Prussia, PA plant. The individual who is hired into this role will have the opportunity to work closely with internal program customers on a variety of challenges in a dynamic, team environment ensuring we receive the materials ordered for those programs on a timely basis and make them available to our customers when they need it. Our business is growing, and we anticipate our growth to continue.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Loading and unloading materials to/from trucks, onto or from pallets, trays, and racks by hand.
• Conveying materials using forklifts, manual or electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other devices.
• Opening containers using hand tools, counting and weighing materials, inspecting materials to ensure they are free of damage, and ensuring the physical count matches the container count on the freight bill
• Recording the receipt transaction in our SAP receiving system.
• Researching and reconciling Non-Receivable Items (NRIs)
• Working closely with our engineers, material planners, and buyers to work through status of receipts and discrepant receipts.
• In addition to receiving tasks, you may perform a combination of tasks under specific direction in inventory management and shipping, which provides the opportunity to be cross trained into these other functional areas providing variety, job satisfaction, and opportunity for growth.

Basic Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of related receiving experience or warehouse/shipping/inventory management experience.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 - 75 lbs.)
• Must have a valid U.S. based driver's license
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. No Clearance required prior to start.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $48000.00 - $89200.00
