Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Missile Defense System Mission Engineer/Analyst to join a team supporting missile defense analysis, experimentation, and test & evaluation at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Onsite, M-F, 8-5 with 0–10% travel; a challenging role requiring DoD clearance and cross-disciplinary analysis.

Responsibilities include performance analysis across sensors, C2, and weapons, evaluating trade-offs, and communicating findings to government customers.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of relevant experience and DoD security clearance.
• Strong communication of complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Analytical, problem solving and teamwork skills.
• Experience with MATLAB; Python or similar tools advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and mission-level analysis of missile defense capabilities and system performance.
• Support end-to-end kill-chain analysis across sensors, C2, communications, and weapons.
• Evaluate problems from sensor, C2BMC, and fires perspectives for system impact.
• Analyze simulation, test, and data to identify trends and improvements.
• Develop and evaluate approaches to improve kill-chain performance and mission effectiveness.
• Support modeling, simulation, experimentation, and testing of current and future capabilities.
• Collaborate across disciplines to investigate complex system problems.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to Government customers and stakeholders.
