Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or MS with 6 years; or PhD with 4 years.
• Experience using CFD tools: Ansys Fluent, STAR-CCM+, CFD++.
• Strong aerodynamic design experience including control surface sizing and 6-column aerodynamic coefficients.
• Experience developing 6DOF aerodynamic models and validating them in nonlinear simulations.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for modeling and analysis.
• Current US Government DoW Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines in supersonic/hypersonic airframe design and analysis.
• Design CFD and wind tunnel test matrix; conduct tests and evaluate results; model coefficients in 6DOF simulations.
• Conduct design reviews and present at design/ test readiness reviews.
