Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Engineer Guidance Navigation Control Level 2 or 3 to support Advanced Weapons in Northridge, CA, 100% on-site. The role requires a DoD secret clearance and offers a pathway to top clearance with relocation support if available.

You will work across disciplines to develop CONOPs, TTPs, and system simulations for weapon missions. You will design and optimize missile trajectories, develop flight constants, and create automation tools for design,

Qualifications

Requires a BS in a related field with 2+ years for Level 2.
Requires a BS in a related field with 5 years or MS with 3+ years for Level 3.
Experience with guidance, navigation, flight control, and tracking algorithms.
Active DoD secret clearance, ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Experience architecting high-fidelity flight/vehicle dynamics simulations.

Responsibilities

Drive full cycle of mission trajectories from requirements to operation.
Perform trajectory design, optimization, and dispersion analysis for missile missions.
Develop flight constants and guidance parameters validated by analysis.
Develop software automation tools for mission design, analysis, test, and reporting.
Perform trade studies to improve weapon performance and reliability.
Support full mission lifecycle from sales to mission execution.
Interact with customers to execute current missions and develop future business.
