Job summary

Socket.dev Information Technology Specialist in Administration oversees daily monitoring of MetroAtlanta’s MIS products in close coordination with the I. T. Manager. The role is non-exempt and requires flexibility to support hardware, software, and user needs in a dynamic environment.

The position emphasizes hands-on system administration, troubleshooting, training, and collaboration to keep all IT assets secure and productive. Strong knowledge of Windows/Microsoft tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or two years related field experience; hands-on data processing experience (one year); MIS operations background (one year).
• Valid State of Georgia Driver's License.
• Flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist to ensure all hardware and software is fully operational at all times.
• Provide technical assistance in computer usage to aid personnel in the execution of their roles.
• Install and/or supervise installation of computer systems and equipment needed.
• Install, update, and/or modify approved software per users' requests and/or needs.
• Troubleshoot computer related problems.
• Assist in the repair of terminals, laptops, printers, modems, and other computer related equipment.
• Monitor security measures with company computers and its data.
• Assist IT Manager with online program development to improve productivity.
• Provide technical input to promote corporate growth and profitability.
• Assist with training of personnel on computer equipment and new software programs.
