Job summary

The California Correctional Training and Rehabilitation Authority (CALCTRA) is seeking two student assistants for MIS - Support Operations, Help Desk. Under supervision, you will learn routine support tasks across client technologies, inventory management, and software configuration, while handling incidents and requests.

Flexible part-time hours with a Thursday-Friday or other weekday schedule; compensation ranges from $16.90 to $23.50 per hour, with duties including data entry, asset

Qualifications

• Experience building and/or supporting PCs and related hardware and software.
• Experience with ticketing systems or help desk is a plus.
• Customer service experience in a service, technical, or manufacturing environment.
• Helpdesk experience in a call center environment.

Responsibilities

• Install or repair hardware or peripheral equipment.
• Manage client technology asset inventories.
• Perform user account management.
• Resolve and respond to client incidents or requests.
• Configure software programs.
• Perform end-of-life asset management and troubleshoot issues using standard procedures.
