Job summary

Weir in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Welder to join our onsite manufacturing team. You will perform high-quality welding and fabrication on mining equipment parts, from small fittings to large assemblies, ensuring welds pass UT inspections and meet strict quality standards.

This role requires 3–5 years of heavy welding experience, the ability to read blueprints and perform fit-up work independently, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy welding experience, preferably with flux-core or dual-shield welding using 1/16" wire.
• Ability to perform welding and fit-up work independently.
• Proficient reading of basic fabrication drawings with tape measures and hand tools.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Welding and Fabrication: weld to blueprint specs using 1/16" flux core or dual-shield wire on mining equipment parts; ensure welds meet quality and UT standards.
• Fit-Up Work: independently fit up parts and maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
• Blueprint Reading and Measurement: read blueprints and weld symbols; use tape measures and hand tools for precise fabrication.
• Equipment Operation: safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, cutting torches, and air-arc equipment as part of daily duties.
• Team Collaboration: work effectively with a motivated team to support production goals.
• Safety First: demonstrate 100% commitment to zero-harm safety culture.
