Qualifications

• MSHA underground and surface instructor certifications are required.
• Alabama Mine Foreman certification is required.
• Experience teaching mining, safety or related subjects at work site or classroom.
• Experience in both underground and surface mining operations.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Microsoft Office/SharePoint for training delivery.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple trainings.
• Workday Learning experience is preferred; leadership/coaching is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Deliver routine classroom instruction and hands-on training for surface and underground miners.
• Teach first aid, CPR, and emergency‑response courses; ensure practical application of safety knowledge.
• Prepare classrooms, materials, and presentation aids; develop and update training content.
• Create engaging PowerPoint presentations and learning resources.
• Document training records and manage course materials in learning systems.
• Coordinate with operations and safety to identify training needs and develop leaders.
