Job summary

Warrior Met Coal is seeking a Training Instructor to deliver classroom, surface, and underground training for miners at our Brookwood facilities in Alabama. The role emphasizes safe, engaging, and practical instruction and will cover experienced miner training, new miner training, first aid, and emergency response.

Ideal candidates hold MSHA underground and surface instructor certifications and the Alabama Mine Foreman certification, with experience in both mining environments.

Qualifications

• Current MSHA underground and surface instructor certifications.
• Current Alabama Mine Foreman certification.
• Experience in both underground and surface mining operations.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and SharePoint; ability to deliver presentations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple training assignments and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct underground and surface experienced miner training.
• Teach first aid, CPR, and BLS; other safety topics.
• Prepare classrooms, training aids, and course materials.
• Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations.
• Use demonstrations and coaching to reinforce safe practices.
• Develop and update training courses to reflect changes in equipment, operations, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain training records and organize current course materials.
• Coordinate with operations and safety to identify training needs.
