Job summary

i-80 Gold Corp. in Nevada seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support onboarding and KPI-driven hiring for our Lone Tree Mine, Valmy. You will manage training milestones and ensure safe, compliant onboarding across site operations.

You will partner with managers to close talent gaps, schedule onboarding days, and mentor new hires while traveling to multiple mine sites as needed to support recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field OR 3-4 years of Talent Acquisition experience.
• Previous experience in mining or construction preferred.
• Proven ability to track, analyze, and report on HR metrics and KPIs to drive operational decisions
• Familiarity with onboarding programs, tracking training milestones, or coordinating adult learning/certifications.
• Familiarity with search tools and local job boards, with a readiness to learn mining-specific platforms.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently follow up with frontline laborers, shift supervisors, and corporate executives alike.
• Willingness to travel to mine sites, career fairs, or community hire events.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial mining environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate the site integration process, ensuring new hires complete safety training and job certifications within 30/60/90 days.
• Conduct structured check-ins with new hires and supervisors at Day 30/60/90 to assess performance and alignment.
• Maintain and analyze talent metrics such as Time-to-Hire, Quality of Hire, 90-Day Turnover, Training Completion, and Cost-Per-Hire; present insights to site leadership.
• Collaborate with managers to identify performance gaps, coordinate refresher training, and conduct stay/exit interviews to improve retention.
• Coordinate and facilitate structured group onboarding days; serve as primary contact from day one through initial training completion.
• Partner with shift supervisors to pair new hires with mentors and track mentorship effectiveness weekly.
• Collaborate with trainers to update onboarding manuals, digital modules, and SOPs based on feedback.
• Coordinate annual performance review process including goal setting, mid-year checks, and year-end evaluations.
• Assist managers with Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and tracking progress toward development goals.
• Ensure performance management practices align with company policies and employment requirements.
