Job summary

Florida Canyon Mining is seeking a Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried vacancies, including skilled mining trades and technical roles. The role partners with HR and hiring managers to ensure compliant, timely fills with a strong candidate experience.

The Recruiter will manage pipeline development, sourcing, screening, offers, onboarding handoffs, and reporting, while coordinating interview logistics and site expectations for a mine-site location in Nevada.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
• Experience recruiting hourly and salaried employees in mining, manufacturing, logistics, or another industrial environment.
• Valid Nevada driver's license.
• SHRM, HRCI, or recruiting-related professional certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and recruiting records management.
• Familiarity with job-related selection practices, equal employment opportunity principles, confidentiality, and applicant data protection.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HR information systems, Microsoft Office, and recruiting platforms; Paycor experience preferred.
• Understanding of industrial or mine-site staffing needs, shift schedules, site location considerations, and recruiting handoffs to pre-employment and onboarding teams.
• Working knowledge of MSHA Part 48 training requirements, pre-employment screening and background check practices, and Nevada employment requirements affecting hiring.

Responsibilities

• Comply with MSHA, State and Federal regulations and company safety policies.
• Coordinate requisition preparation and obtain approvals before recruiting; align with HR leadership and hiring managers.
• Create job postings and source candidates through job boards, outreach, networks, and career fairs.
• Post internal opportunities, support transfers/promotions, and promote the employer brand.
• Recruit for hourly and salaried positions; screen candidates and coordinate assessments and evaluations.
• Maintain timely candidate communication throughout the process and present qualified applicants to hiring managers.
• Own interview scheduling and coordinate interview materials and guides.
• Develop position overviews with input from managers and HR leadership.
• Prepare offer letters and communicate approved terms in compliance with Nevada law.
• Coordinate pre-employment clearances (drug/alcohol, background checks, fit-for-duty) per FCRA and Nevada rules.
• Maintain accurate ATS records and generate recruiting metrics for process improvements.
• Conduct new-hire check-ins and collect feedback to improve recruiting and retention.
• Manage staffing agency relationships and onboarding materials.
