Stantec's Arizona Mining group seeks a Project Specialist to support feasibility studies and detailed engineering for underground and surface mining operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–15 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry.
• Professional Engineering license preferred or ability to become licensed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety codes and guidelines are met by design and use of technology.
• Review drawings for safety and constructability issues prior to client delivery.
• Provide office-based and field engineering support to meet client needs and incorporate client suggestions.
• Act as liaison between technical execution and project management teams.
• Direct a team of engineers and designers through scoping, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and drive change management in engineering and design.
• Develop proposals including hours, deliverables, and write-ups.
• Coordinate engineering involvement in procurement and construction work packages.
