Job summary

Barminco Mining Service, a global underground mining leader, seeks a Project Engineer to support a Nevada operation located about 65 miles outside Elko. You will report to the Project Manager and monitor site commercial and accounting tasks, driving business improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• BA in Mining Engineering (required).
• Demonstrated experience managing and administering mining contracts.
• Good knowledge of mining operations and equipment.
• Experience reviewing and monitoring contract performance and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage and prioritize site compliance to contractual obligations.
• Monitor site commercial and accounting tasks, raising issues with any abnormalities or potential opportunities.
• Work closely with the project manager and mining superintendent to identify and investigate business improvement opportunities.
• Assist project management team in developing business improvement project plans and manage sections allocated.
• Monitor delay modifier claims and submit to client in a timely fashion.
• Prepare monthly data checks on MinRep entries and correct discrepancies.
• Compile data for end-of-month claim and lodge with client promptly.
• Draft revenue accruals and coordinate with cost accruals for pending items.
• Produce relevant monthly Health Check reports and support foreman with process changes.
