Job summary

WSP is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Permitting Specialist to join our Mine Environment team in a full-time role, with a preferred Nevada location. You will support permitting and environmental projects, work with senior specialists, perform data analysis, field data collection, and technical reporting.

This position offers growth within a global mining team, opportunities to work on diverse projects including water, land, and remediation efforts, and may require travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with regulatory/permitting focus
  • 3–10 years in natural resources, permitting, or related fields
  • Understanding of state and federal mining regulations and NEPA
  • Experience delivering work products in consulting environments
  • Strong written and oral communication for reports and presentations

Responsibilities

  • Support mining projects with data collection, permitting and baseline studies.
  • Develop proposals for mine permitting projects.
  • Deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Design, plan, and execute field programs.
  • Analyze data and ensure quality control.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental assessments and permit applications.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Promote a safety-first culture.
  • Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and policies.
  • Travel as required.
