Job summary

WSP seeks a Field Permitting Specialist to join our Mine Environment team on a full-time basis. Nevada location preferred; hybrid work options available.

You will support permitting, data collection, field programs, and technical reporting for mining projects, working with senior specialists on challenging regulatory tasks. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in natural resources or permitting, NEPA knowledge, and strong communication skills; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in natural resources, permitting, consulting or related field
• Understanding of state and federal regulatory mining regulations and NEPA
• Knowledge of mining-related environmental practices and standards
• Experience delivering work products in a consulting environment
• Ability to communicate results through written reports and presentations
• Capable self-leadership with attention to detail and multitasking
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with minimal supervision or in a team
• Commitment to safety policies and ethical conduct

Responsibilities

• Support mining permitting projects with data collection, interpretation, and field studies
• Develop proposals related to mine permitting projects
• Deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget for multiple projects
• Plan and execute field programs for clients
• Analyze, interpret and report data with quality control across projects
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate data into environmental assessments and permit applications
• Cultivate client relationships and promote safety-first culture
