Job summary

WSP is seeking a Field Permitting Specialist to join the Mine Environment team on a full-time basis, with preference for a Nevada location. You will support permitting and environmental projects, work with senior specialists, and contribute to data collection, reporting, and field programs across mining, oil & gas, power, and waste sectors.

You will collaborate with US and global mining teams, navigate U.S.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of professional experience in natural resources, permitting, consulting or related field.
Understanding of state and federal regulatory mining regulations and NEPA.
Knowledge of mining environmental practices and standards.
Experience delivering work products in a consulting environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support mining, oil & gas, power and solid waste projects with permitting and data collection.
Develop proposals for mine permitting projects.
Deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
Plan, design and execute field programs for clients.
Analyze, interpret and report data with QC checks.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on environmental assessments and permit applications.
Support client relationship development and safety initiatives.
