Shimmick Construction Company is seeking a Mining Operations Manager based in the Western US to oversee multiple mining projects, coordinating across systems, teams, and contracts. This role emphasizes leadership, asset planning, and growth with engagement across clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus extensive mining construction operations leadership experience.
• Ability to coordinate across project teams and client stakeholders.
• Proficiency in CMiC cost management and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Sponsor Project PMs to ensure safe, profitable work.
• Develop and mentor staff on contract administration, cost controls and scheduling basics.
• Recruit staff and craft to support growth.
• Plan for mining fleet CapEx and maintenance.
• Support strategic planning for pursuits, client analysis and teaming.
• Coordinate with legal, estimating and risk management to ensure compliant proposals.
• Foster strong client relationships during prepositioning and debrief stages.
• Facilitate interaction between site staff and corporate departments.
