Job summary

Shimmick Corporation is seeking a Mining Operations Manager based in the Western US to oversee multiple high-value mining construction projects, coordinating across systems and teams to deliver safe, profitable operations. You will lead project PMs, mentor staff in contract administration, cost controls, scheduling, and risk management, while shaping strategy with executives and clients.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and extensive mining project experience; travel to multiple site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus extensive experience leading mining construction project operations.
• Experience coordinating across multiple sites and stakeholders.
• Strong writing and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sponsor Project PMs to ensure safe, profitable work.
• Develop and mentor project staff on contract administration, cost controls, scheduling basics, contract negotiations, field management.
• Support strategic planning for key pursuits in target sectors, including client analysis, competitive positioning, and teaming recommendations.
