Job summary

You will perform land title research, draft agreements, handle regulatory filings, and coordinate with GIS teams to update ownership maps and tenure status, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements while collaborating with landowners and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 0-3 years land, paralegal, real estate, or natural resources experience; internships a plus.
• AAPL Active Member or candidate toward RPL preferred.
• Familiarity with Western U.S. land systems and basic legal descriptions.
• Strong technical skills in Excel/Word; basic GIS exposure.

Responsibilities

• Land Records & Database Administration: manage leases, mining claims, surface rights, water rights.
• Tenure & Rental Compliance: track fees and lease obligations for compliance.
• Title & Document Research: perform preliminary title research and assemble historical documents.
• Stakeholder Support: prepare correspondence for landowners and agencies.
• Agreement Preparation: draft land documents and easements using templates.
• GIS & Mapping Coordination: work with GIS to update ownership maps and tenure status.
