Job summary

Florida Canyon Mine is seeking a Recruiter to deliver full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including mining trades and technical roles. You will build talent pipelines, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and partner with HR to ensure compliant, timely onboarding.

The role calls for strong communication, data-driven decision making, and close collaboration with hiring managers to fill vacancies while delivering a positive candidate experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience required.
• Experience recruiting in mining, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial settings preferred.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with MSHA, state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate requisitions, approvals, and workforce planning with HR leadership.
• Source candidates via job boards, outreach, networks, and events; build pipelines.
• Post internal opportunities and support transfers and employer branding.
• Recruit hourly and salaried roles; screen, assess, and present candidates to managers.
• Maintain timely candidate communication and realistic job previews.
• Own interview scheduling and coordinate materials and panel availability.
• Develop position overviews with input from managers and HR leadership.
• Develop compensation recommendations and route for approval.
• Prepare and issue offers with terms; provide wage ranges per Nevada law.
• Coordinate pre-employment clearances (drug tests, background checks).
• Maintain applicant records and HRIS entries; ensure data retention.
• Report metrics: vacancies, pipeline, time-to-fill, retention; identify bottlenecks.
• Conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins and use feedback to improve recruiting.
• Manage staffing vendor relationships and onboarding materials.
• Protect confidential information and ensure non-discriminatory practices.
• Support site safety initiatives and wear PPE during visits.
