Job summary

Metso is seeking a Field Service Technician in Mesa, AZ to provide practical field repairs, welding, and technical support for customers and contractors on retrofit, rebuild, and replacement equipment. You will report to the Field Service Managers in Mesa and travel up to 85% to customer sites and other Metso locations.

The role requires a technical degree or high school diploma with mechanical maintenance, millwright, and welding experience.

Qualifications

• Technical Degree or High School diploma with mechanical maintenance/millwright/welding experience.
• 2 years of millwright or welding experience in mining or heavy construction industries.
• Field welding experience, ideally on grinding mills, crushers, and other process machinery.

Responsibilities

• Study, plan, and prepare for field work based on the scope of work, drawings, and safety rules.
• Provide technical and practical service during demolition, installation, checkout, and commissioning.
• Perform millwright tasks and alignment of gears and mill components.
• Repair crushers, conveyers, pumps, screens, mills, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot fit/form problems and advise on corrective action and repairs.
• Operate welding equipment (SMAW, GMAW) in a mining/heavy industrial setting.
• Maintain accurate job progress records and internal reports.
• Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and collaborate with Metso teams.
