Job summary

Kiewit Mining Group is seeking a Front Line Supervisor – Equipment Maintenance to supervise day-to-day maintenance operations for heavy equipment, up to 20 crew. You will set safety, quality, schedule, and development expectations on your team.

A strong technical background in surface mining and heavy civil equipment is required. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating with field engineers, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with MSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Front Line Supervisor in mining or heavy civil operations
• Familiar with MSHA operations
• Self-starter with initiative and ethics
• Strong safety focus and communication skills
• Willing to relocate and travel on short notice

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of maintenance technicians and crews up to 20 personnel
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of craft personnel
• Develop and maintain open communication with crews and engineers
• Assist in planning work plans, schedules, manpower, and material requirements
• Monitor safety, quality, and budget adherence; coordinate with contractors and suppliers
