Kiewit Mining Group seeks a Front Line Supervisor – Equipment Maintenance to lead day-to-day maintenance operations, supervising crews up to 20. Emphasis is on safety, quality, and team development across surface mining and heavy civil equipment.

The role requires strong technical background, excellent communication, and readiness to relocate to project sites. Benefits and comprehensive pay are provided with base compensation in the six-figure range.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a Front Line Supervisor in mining or heavy civil ops.
• Familiar with MSHA operations and safety standards.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and initiative.
• Excellent communication and team development abilities.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as needed.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of a maintenance crew up to 20 personnel.
• Develop daily job assignments, track time off, and assess performance.
• Maintain open communication with crews, engineers, Safety, and Quality.
• Prepare work plans and schedule manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor budgets and enforce cost control measures.
• Provide job safety training and uphold quality standards.
• Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules; coordinate with contractors.
• Identify and resolve problems impacting schedule or safety.
