Job summary

WSP USA invites applications for a Mining Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 to be based in Lakewood, CO, with consideration also given to St. Louis, MO and Tucson, AZ. This 12-week program, starting May 17, 2027, targets undergraduates or graduates enrolled in related programs.

No relocation assistance is provided; occasional travel may be required. You will gain exposure to real projects, work alongside senior staff, and participate in training and mentorship through the Developing Professionals

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in mining engineering or related undergraduate program with anticipated graduation August 2027 or later.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.
• Strong written and verbal communication for engineering audiences.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a range of mining engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic mining engineering principles and apply them to projects.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Assist in desktop studies on geology, mine stability, excavation and minerals processing.
• Contribute to technical reporting on client resources and reserves per NI-43-101/JORC.
• Support final design plans, cost estimates, and documentation.
