Job summary

WSP USA invites students to join its Mining Engineering internship program for Summer 2027. This 12-week paid internship offers hands-on project exposure, mentoring from senior staff, and experience across mining engineering tasks at multiple locations.

You will work with our Earth & Environment team in Lakewood CO or St. Louis MO or Tucson AZ, gaining practical research, design calculations, and field support while adhering to WSP's safety policies.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mining Engineering undergraduate program with anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Mining Engineering and desire to advance skills for WSP projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mining engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Mining Engineering.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analyses.
• Perform desktop studies on geology, mine stability, excavation and minerals processing.
• Contribute to technical reporting on client resources and reserves per SK-1300 / NI-43-101 / JORC.
