Job summary

WSP USA invites motivated students to join its Mine Waste Team in Lakewood, CO as a Geotechnical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This full-time, 12-week internship program offers hands-on experience, mentorship from senior staff, and exposure to real projects while you advance your technical and professional skills.

You will support engineering tasks, learn Civil and Geotechnical fundamentals, assist with research, field work, design calculations, and documentation, while adhering to WSP's

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with Aug 2027 or later.
• U.S. work authorization at internship start.
• Able to travel up to 80% and lift up to 40 lb.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail‑oriented with safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering tasks to develop technical and ethical skills.
• Learn basic Civil and Geotechnical engineering principles.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Help prepare final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Collect and maintain project documentation.
• Complete assigned training and follow code of conduct.
