Job summary

GCC is seeking a Mining Engineer for our Tijeras, NM plant, located near Albuquerque. The role requires a BS in Mining Engineering and 3–5 years of mining experience, with strong skills in mine planning, permitting and project management. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson, Trimble and related software is essential.

PE or EIT preferred or obtainable within one year. Relocation assistance available. The position involves mine planning, permitting, site engineering, cost estimation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering required.
• 3–5 years’ mining experience.
• Experience with permitting submissions and negotiations with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine planning and permitting across local, state and federal agencies.
• Coordinate projects with internal teams and external contractors.
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimates for mining operations.
• Develop and implement mining designs and mappings using AutoCAD, Carlson and Trimble.
• Support safety initiatives and the GCC Master Safety Plan.
