Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a motivated intern to support daily plant and quarry operations in Raleigh, NC. You will analyze operational data, assist with process improvements, and prepare reports.

This on-site internship offers exposure to safety initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to work with experienced operations leaders. Candidates pursuing relevant degrees gain hands-on experience in a world-leading building materials company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant degree (Operations Management, Engineering, Mining, Construction Management, Business).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and eagerness to learn industrial operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

What Are We Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Mining, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and an eagerness to learn industrial operations.
  

Work Environment

• Primarily based at an aggregate plant and/or quarry operation.
• Exposure to outdoor environments, varying weather conditions, production equipment, and active job sites.
• Requires adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
