Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is offering an internship in operations management at a US plant or quarry. You will support daily operations, help improve safety, quality, and productivity, and analyze data to identify process improvements.

You will collaborate with site leaders on projects across production, maintenance and efficiency, and contribute to safety initiatives while preparing reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Mining, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

What You'll Be Doing

What Are We Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Mining, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and an eagerness to learn industrial operations.
  

Work Environment

• Primarily based at an aggregate plant and/or quarry operation.
• Exposure to outdoor environments, varying weather conditions, production equipment, and active job sites.
• Requires adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Opportunities to work closely with experienced operations professionals and site leadership.
