Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is offering a field-based internship across multiple aggregate operations in the United States. Interns will gain exposure to quarry, plant, and production processes while supporting safety, efficiency, quality, and sustainability initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on data collection and analysis, collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, and participation in field inspections and regional improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering or related technical degree.
• Demonstrated interest in industrial operations, manufacturing, mining, or similar environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with data interpretation abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams and locations.
• Willingness to travel to multiple aggregate sites and work in a dynamic field environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Visit multiple aggregate operations to gain exposure to quarry, plant, and production processes.

• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality control, and leadership teams on site-based initiatives.
• Participate in field inspections, project work, and continuous improvement activities across the region.

What Are We Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated interest in industrial operations, manufacturing, mining, construction materials, or related environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and locations.
• Willingness and ability to travel to multiple aggregate sites and work in a dynamic field environment.

Work Environment

• This internship involves hands-on experience at active aggregate mining sites. Interns should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and navigating rugged terrain and heavy equipment areas.
