Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Operations Internship to support daily plant and quarry operations, helping to drive safety, quality, and productivity.

You will analyze operational data, prepare reports and presentations, and partner with operations leaders on projects related to production, maintenance, and efficiency while gaining exposure to industrial operations and Office tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in a related field (Operations Management, Engineering, Mining, Construction Management, Business).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

What Are We Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Mining, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and an eagerness to learn industrial operations.

Work Environment

• Primarily based at an aggregate plant and/or quarry operation.
• Exposure to outdoor environments, varying weather conditions, production equipment, and active job sites.
• Requires adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Opportunities to work closely with experienced operations professionals and site leadership.
