Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Mining Construction Safety Coordinator to monitor onsite construction activities on a large EPCM mining project.

The role focuses on HSSE performance and regulatory compliance across the project site, reporting to the Project Health and Safety Manager. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 10+ years in mining safety, MSHA certification, and experience in open pit and underground environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of hands-on safety management experience in mining.
• MSHA certification required; other safety certs preferred.
• Experience with EPCM or mine owner in a similar role for 2+ years.
• Able to pass drug test, background check, and driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee HSSE performance across the project site.
• Verify contractor compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits; implement corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; document findings and actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client to foster safety culture.
