Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Construction Manager I in Phoenix, AZ to assist the Project Manager with planning, execution, and financial outcomes. You will coordinate staffing, safety, and client relations to ensure projects meet budget and schedule.

The role requires strong communication, multi-project coordination, and hands-on involvement with design drawings, subcontractor management, and cost control on-site.

Qualifications

• Understands PMP components and risk management.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects on a site.
• Experience with project budgeting and cost control.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in directing and coordinating staff for management of contracted projects, ensuring profitability.
• Communicate with crews and field managers to ensure timely project completion within budgets.
• Understand contracts, drawings and specs; assist budgeting and cost control.
• Enforce safety training and monitor job sites for hazards.
• Maintain client relationships and address project issues.
• Plan, direct and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
• Participate in takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork and utilities as needed.
• Monitor daily budgets and weekly labor costs to meet targets.
• Plan and supervise project team for relentless execution.
