McEwen Mining in Nevada is seeking an Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support timely financial reporting. This role involves month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, budgeting, forecasting, and general accounting duties.

You will collaborate with the accounting team and site operations to ensure data integrity, comply with policies, and deliver reliable financial information for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting preferable.
• Strong Excel and Office Suite skills; familiarity with accounting software.
• Mining or minesite accounting experience is advantageous.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries; perform reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor and analyze budget versus actuals; report variances as needed.
• Support capital accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Produce financial reports and maintain documentation for audits.
