Job summary

Florida Canyon Mining, Inc. seeks an Accountant at the Nevada site to maintain the integrity of financial records, oversee liquidity, vendor approvals, and bank relations in a fast-paced mining environment.

Reporting to the Site Controller, you will perform month-end closes, manage SAP-based accounts payable and 1099 compliance, and build dashboards with Vena to deliver real-time cost insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 years of professional accounting experience, mining experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel with pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas.
• Experience with SAP and Vena is a plus; strong data visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Month-End close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Operational accounting liaison with warehouse and operations to track inventory costs and variances.
• Maintain 1099 vendor master data in SAP and oversee 1099 filings with IRS.
• Review and validate AP transactions in SAP with proper approvals and documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors to support SOX compliance and fiscal reporting.
• Develop dashboards and trend analyses using Vena for real-time cost insights.
