Job summary

SpecialtyCare is expanding and seeks a Minimally Invasive Clinical Specialist I to support laparoscopic/endoscopic surgeries. You will receive comprehensive, paid multi-stage training in a high-class simulation OR, learn sterilization and troubleshooting, and assist surgical teams while prepping instruments and equipment.

The role emphasizes quick, accurate service, teamwork, and adherence to policies. A high school diploma is required; healthcare exposure is preferred, and on-call schedules

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• No experience necessary.
• Healthcare experience or training preferred.
• Must live within 30 minutes of contracted hospitals.
• Ability to work flexible hours and participate in call rotation including weekends/nights/holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass pre-hire medical aptitude test and on-the-job training including certification and company required education modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide logistical and technical support for laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries.
• Set up, troubleshoot and maintain all minimally invasive equipment, including video systems and towers.
• Manage routine procedures including tower functions, pre-operative setup, and instrumentation knowledge.
• Understand video component functionality and troubleshooting principles.
• Assist physicians and clinical staff to meet preferences.
• Complete all paper and electronic documentation forms.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and available.
• Sterilize and decontaminate equipment and instruments after each case.
• Participate in shadow and tray call coverage as scheduled.
• Learn and adhere to SpecialtyCare policies and clinical guidelines.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
