Job summary

SpecialtyCare is expanding and seeks a Minimally Invasive Clinical Specialist I to support laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries in our network of operating rooms. Training is comprehensive, hands-on, and fully paid, with a strong emphasis on customer service and fast-paced environments.

You will learn to set up and troubleshoot all minimally invasive equipment, assist physicians and staff, and complete necessary documentation while ensuring stock and sterilization standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• No experience necessary.
• Must live within 30 minutes of contracted hospitals.
• Ability to work flexible hours and participate in a call rotation including weekends/nights/ holidays.
• Must complete a pre-hire medical aptitude test and required training modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide logistical and technical support for laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries.
• Set up, troubleshoot and maintain all minimally invasive equipment; including video systems/viewing towers.
• Manage tower functions and pre-operative set up with instrumentation knowledge.
• Understand video components and troubleshooting principles.
• Assist physicians and clinical staff to meet preferences.
• Complete all required documentation (paper and electronic).
• Ensure supplies are stocked and available as needed.
• Sterilize and decontaminate equipment after each case and prepare for next case.
• Participate in shadow and/or tray call coverage assignments.
• Learn and adhere to all required policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines of SpecialtyCare and partnered hospitals.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
